Haley Tarango
Board Certified Family Law Paralegal
Haley joined Nelson Law Group in July 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience supporting attorneys and clients across a broad range of legal matters. She primarily assists attorney Nathan Kitz with his family law and civil litigation practices. Her diverse legal background, meticulous approach, and commitment to helping clients and attorneys navigate complex cases have quickly made her an invaluable member of the Nelson Law Group team.
Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and later completed the Paralegal Studies Certificate Program at Southern Methodist University. She began her legal career supporting attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense before shifting her focus exclusively to family law. In 2023, Haley became Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction earned by a select group of Texas paralegals who demonstrate substantial experience, advanced knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in family law.
Drawing on nearly 15 years of experience in the legal field, Haley brings a practical understanding of the demands of litigation and the importance of anticipating needs before they become obstacles. She recognizes that legal matters can be both complex and deeply personal, so she strives to provide thoughtful support, clear communication, and dependable guidance throughout the legal process. Whether coordinating the many moving pieces of a case or helping clients understand what to expect along the way, Haley aims to be a steady and reassuring presence for those she serves.
She is an active member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division, the Denton County Paralegal Association, and the Collin County Paralegal Association.
Away from the office, Haley enjoys spending time with her family and pets, discovering new restaurants and hidden gems around town, and always having a good true-crime podcast in the queue.
