Romi L. Schwartz
Attorney
Romi L. Schwartz is an accomplished attorney known for her practical, holistic approach to family law and persuasive litigation strategies. With more than three decades of experience, including twenty years working for Legal Aid, she combines deep legal insight with an unwavering commitment to her clients’ best interests. That blend reflects the standards we expect from every attorney at Nelson Law Group and has defined a career marked by positive outcomes, strategic settlements, and favorable judgments—often in high-stakes, emotionally complex cases.
Licensed to practice law since 1993, Romi earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech in 1988 before attending the prestigious Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was ranked in the Top 5% of her class. Her specialties include all family law matters, including divorce, child custody, modifications of existing orders, adoption, enforcement, spousal maintenance, protective orders, temporary restraining orders, domestic violence, and child support. Beyond being an empathetic advocate for her clients during what is undoubtedly a difficult time in their lives, she strives to ensure they are fully educated about their legal options and the limitations of the court system for resolving complex family issues.
Away from the legal world, Romi is a self-professed “foodie” and never misses an opportunity to try new restaurants. She also enjoys traveling and loves spending time with her fur babies.
