Ryan Thornhill

Ryan Thornhill has been a valued member of Nelson Law Group, PC, since October 2020 and now is a shareholder of the firm. He brings extensive experience in family law, civil and business matters, personal injury, settlement negotiations, and appeals. Ryan is known for his practical, compassionate approach to legal representation and his commitment to providing clients with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind throughout the legal process.

Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Ryan comes from a family of legal professionals but chose to forge his own path in North Texas. He earned a B.A. in Strategic Communications from Texas Christian University before pursuing law full-time. Before joining Nelson Law Group, he gained valuable experience as a law clerk and associate attorney at Rames Law Firm, where he handled civil and family law matters. He also served as a judicial intern with Judge Bonnie Lee Goldstein and Judge Ken Tapscott in Dallas, gaining firsthand insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making.

Ryan is deeply committed to fostering personal relationships with his clients through individualized attention and thoughtful advocacy. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Chandler. He also enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and cheering on TCU football.
